Point Reyes Concretion

I took my photo group out to photograph Point Reyes. At the end of the day we went to the lighthouse. The rock face near the top of the stairs down to the lighthouse was a wonderful rich reddish color... It has weathered to be a unique pattern with a very distinct patina of stains.

To make this telephoto Vertorama I shot a number of frames with the camera in the landscape, horizontal, orientation and then stitched them together in Photoshop.

The final assembly was well over 100 megapixels but I cropped it down to make a more dynamic composition.

The stitching method allows me to make a high resolution digital original from a number of low resolution (20 mp) frames.

This is an 89 megapixel image made from a number of frames of Canon 5D Mark II data shot with the 24-105mm lens.

Offered is a limited edition 24x31 box mounted print on archival paper for $300.00.
