McGuire Tree Bark

I have been going to a new area of the hills called McGuire Peaks in Sunol Regional Park. The peaks are a very quiet place where access is a little more difficult so many of the visitors to the park never even get near the trails.

This wonderful and relatively unspoiled area must have been part of a ranch as all of these hills were before they were reclained from private hands. The loop trail was a road at one point and now it is covered with soft delacate grass as the hill begins to heal itself.

I had climbed a good part of the way up to one of the peaks and made some photographs. I stopped to have a rest and do some food and water and discovered that the tree I chose as a rest area was heavily encrusted with lichens and moss.

I set up and made a 50 megapixel vertorama of the tree trunk by slipping the stem of my tripod incrementally up to its fullest extent.

I hope you enjoy the result!!!!

This print is in my premium presentation, artists canvas with luster laminate and a 1" thick box mount.
