South Tufa Twilight

This is one of the first shots of twilight. During this period the light turns soft and is not very directional... But... Oh what a color!!!!

I always enjoy photographing twilight with my digital camera because I can see what I am getting and, based on the histogram and the display, adjust if necessary.

This location is odd in that literally a hundred photographers will arrive at 15 minutes to sunset run around trying to get a shot and then leave as abruptly as they showed up...

I stayed out here one night until several o'clock in the morning shooting the stars and open flashing the tufas.

All good fun!!! This is a 16 megapixel image made with a Canon 5D Mark II.
